4-way stretch - elastic fabric

A material that stretches in the warp and the weft. This property is obtained through the use of elastane, textured yarns, or yarns of an elastic nature.

Breathable

Property of a material that consists of wicking humidity from the body to the exterior thanks to fiber properties and / or properties inherent in its structure. A dry micro-climate can thus be maintained between skin and clothing.

Water-resistance

Property of a material which prevents liquid water going trough and allows perspiration to exit.

Wind-resistance

A microfiber weave with Teflon provides resistance to water and dirt. Good wind protection with extremely high breathing activity.

Insulated

Property of a material or fill which regulates the temperature of a fiber in order to retain a dry and warm micro-climate between the skin and garment in order to avoid body chill.

ANTIBACTERIAL

Chemical properties applied to a material to avoid the development of bacteria caused by perspiration.

3-D fabric

A material that has less contact with the skin and traps air or creates air circulation.

Slim fit

Tight fitted garments. Often combined with elasticity, for better movement and articulation.
